Whether you're looking for more bite or more glide, we offer a range of blade hollows to help you optimize your on-ice performance. Only use PROSHARP BAUER ADVANTEDGE Grinding Wheels with the PROSHARP BAUER ADVANTEDGE Skate Sharpener. Use of any other grinding wheels may damage the machine and void warranty.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT GRINDING WHEELS
There are two types of wheels you will use when sharpening your skates:
Hollow Grinding Wheels and FLAT Grinding Wheels.
Hollow Grinding Wheels are used to sharpen your steel to your favourite radius of hollow. If you’re unsure which hollow to start with, we recommend using a ¾” wheel as a baseline. From there, you can trial different wheels to find which hollow suits your style of play best.
FLAT Grinding Wheels are designed to “reset” your blade. This process is important when
prepping new steel or refreshing your blade if you damage your edges.
On average, a grinding wheel will sharpen about 75 pairs of skates. Your PROSHARP BAUER ADVANTEDGE Skate Sharpener will notify you when it’s time to replace your grinding wheel.

- If the total order is £100 or below, the postage charge will be £4.50 and will be added automatically at checkout.
- If the total order is above £100.00 it will be despatched through DPD/DHL or Royal Mail on next working day delivery service (if the order is received before 2.00pm and the items are in stock). This service is FREE OF CHARGE
The courier will email you your tracking details so you can follow your parcel all the way to your doorstep
